Weber Big Sky Mandola: #1: $5,790.00 (retail) Price Includes Mandola Hardshell Case This is Montana's nick-name, which a sign at a ranch explains as being: "A place that's got 6 people, one and a half antelope, 3 deer, and 896 trout per square mile." A land of space, mountains and Big Sky. Mickey's Take: I happen to own the Weber Big Sky Mandola ... and am completely happy with mine in every respect. These are designed for projection and clarity of tone; these are not designed for sustain and resonance (as you would find in the Hyalite Octave). As far as I'm concerned, I will never need another Mandola ... this is as good as it gets! Thanks to one of the finest luthiers of all-time: Bruce Weber! Mickey Cochran (my Big Sky Mandola can be heard in the video "Introduction to the Mandola")
