Let us know which one of our instruments you'd like to trade it in on....we will then you back with our already discounted price along with your trade-in value of your current instrument. We do not just discount the instrument you're trading for...we truly will shave off the market value of your instrument.

Upon Deciding to Trade In Your Instrument:

If you do decide to make the trade, and as long as it arrives without damage, consider the trade completed as quoted (Unless instrument was not as described). Upon receipt of the trade-in instrument, along with payment (if specified), your instrument of choice will be shipped the same day...(Unless it’s a special order item) or you've already pre-paid for your instrument of choice...in which case, we will credit your previous purchase the trade-in value based on the allowable process time or, if necessary, the turnover time.

NOTE: Because we would have already invested in the resell of your trade-in, through photography and listing efforts, all trade-ins are final. If you're not completely satisfied with the instrument you purchased, you may return it for a full in-store credit towards any other instrument of your choice.

Be sure to pack it as well as possible...include newspaper within the case and without. Additionally, use a double corrugated box if you can find one...and don't forget to insure it for its full value. Most importantly, please include all correspondence on the trade in the case of the instrument. If your instrument does not have a case, be sure to tape correspondence on the strings of the instrument. Additionally, if your instrument does not have a case, be sure to double box it for added security.

Further info on the trade-in process:

Even so, if for any reason you do not like the instrument you traded for, we will offer you a full 100% in-store credit towards any other instrument of your choice. Sorry, no credit card or cash refunds can be issued. An in-store credit applies if you decide that you do not like the instrument you traded for...we do not purchase trade-ins; we only offer a trade-in value towards any instrument we carry. Please insure your instrument for its full value, with the carrier you ship with, before sending it out; Folk of the Wood does not take any responsibility if your trade-in arrives damaged or is lost in transit.
