Good morning Mickey,
Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am
with my custom Weber Hyalite octave mandolin! It
arrived yesterday, exactly as promised, and after a
few hours of playing to settle the strings, I can say
I am truly amazed by how good an instrument this is!
Considering it was strung up less than a week ago, I
can't wait to hear what it will sound like after I
have a chance to really play it in. I've owned three
other Webers; two mandolins and the Bridger mandola I
purchase from you, and this instrument is as
spectacular as the others. The workmanship is superb,
I would expect nothing less from Weber, but the
artistry of my inlayed company logo is unbelievable!
The other members of my bluegrass band were stunned by
it at practice last night.
I really appreciate your guidance in helping me decide
exactly what instrument to build and in selecting the
details of bracing, sound hole style and fretboard
radius. Even the folks at Weber commented on what a
great resource you are in making these kind of
decisions. Kudos also to James at your order desk.
He's was straight with me throughout the process and
most helpful in dealing with the changes I made after
placing the initial order.
Again, thanks for helping me in what could have been
an intimidating, frustrating process. Rest assured,
if I get the itch for a mandocello or bass or some
other semi-exotic instrument, I know to whom I'll
turn.

What can i say? This is she! This is the one and i felt it as soon as i removed if from the case and felt the neck. Before i even tuned and strummed it. Funny how that works when you know that this is the one for you. Thankyouthankyouthankyou.....infinity! I'm very pleased with this babe, for sure! I took it to RVK right away and he looked at it and said "It looks like an IKEA Octave Mandolin" ...he too thinks that this is a very good thing. We played his and mine together and by God, they complimented each other soundwise...they'll work together and that's the 1st time i've heard 2 o/m's that sound like they can play together without sounding mushy. he put a strap button on it and my fingers are sore now. I've been at it since she arrived. Now, what to name her...? ...Man, another night without sleep! A good thing! If you were in the room i'd give you a West Coast Bear hug, pal!
