Regal Dobro Conversion by FOTW

Be aware, by just installing the Quarterman cone alone, do not expect that much tonal difference. When combining all of the elements that make up a top-notch Dobro, such as: a bone nut (in place of the plastic), an Ebony Bridge with Maple Support, a Sand Cast Spider and proper strings, you'll have an affordable Dobro that comes very close to sounding like an instrument costing thousands more. View the video samplers above to hear the difference...it's recommended to use headphones with your computer as you listen to these...these samplers are all digitally recorded and offer impeccable fidelity. The Quarterman Cone conversion has a fatter and overall louder tonal quality.

Mickey,

After much waiting and anticipation, I finally received my RD-45MS with the QC upgrade and I am very pleased with the tone, volume and feel of the instrument. I thought there would be a considerable learning curve as I am new to dobro, but I was making music in 20 minutes and have already recorded with it. I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend you to anyone looking to purchase an instrument over the phone/web.

Thanks again! Devin Nowakowski
