This cone is the one used by all the big name players today. Offers a loud bell-like tone and a very balanced sound. Use with spider bridge. This cone is 1/16" larger in dia. than a standard Dobro® and your guiter may need to b routed out to fit properly. Shown above Quarterman Cones Be aware, by just installing the Quarterman cone alone, do not expect that much tonal difference. When combining all of the elements that make up a top-notch Dobro, such as: a bone nut (in place of the plastic), an Ebony Bridge with Maple Support, a Sand Cast Spider and proper strings, you'll have an affordable Dobro that comes very close to sounding like an instrument costing thousands more. View the video samplers above to hear the difference...it's recommended to use headphones with your computer as you listen to these...these samplers are all digitally recorded and offer impeccable fidelity.
